Whether you have acted before or are exploring it for the first time WINGS is an introduction course in acting designed to expand your expressive capabilities, hone your imagination and enhance your spontaneity as you acquire the tools for developing a character and a basic narrative. 

Acting embracing the magic, the escape and entering another world brings a psychological freedom of becoming someone else.  In character you have the opportunity to become someone else and you will be looking at people and situations from a different perspective.

In this eight week course you get an introduction to the craft of acting which involves group exercises to develop physical awareness, concentration, imagination and trust. Participants develop a personalised creative process through monologues, scene work and exercises in observational awareness along with basic methods of relaxation as well as physical and vocal freedom and control.  I am looking forward to opening up the magical world of acting for you.

Studies show that as we grow older,  learning something new contributes to mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.  Energetically we feel more in control and vital. 
Learning to act promotes healthy cognitive functioning as you concentrate on learning lines and study characters and roles. And of course taking part in a group learning experience provides an environment of inclusivity, support and being valued and appreciated within that group.

What could be more magical than wrapping yourself in the cloak of a different character and becoming something different for a while - perhaps discovering something new and wonderful within yourself in the process. 

As you work through this acting course, I will be supporting you in developing your own wings.  Our wisdom years are when we leave behind the ego and move into a greater consciousness and awareness.  Connecting with that is what opens up a new world of wonder and of course acting leads to play.   The only time we worry about growing older is when we're not enjoying life. Playing or 'play acting' affords us a chunk of fun to savour spilling over into other areas of our life and affecting the people around us. Like a living tuning-fork, you get to bring a new, healthy and balanced vibration to everything around you. I'm looking forward to helping you embrace the magic of acting.

and continues each Wednesday morning for eight weeks.
